We first looked at large numbers and how high numbers numbers go up to. We made a table aout large numbers.
That was our working on large numbers.
We then tried to find out some facts invloving large numbers. These were the most interesting one.
Cells in our body. There are 37.2 trillion cells on our body. 3012 cells on our body
How many stars are there in the universe- 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 - 10 to the power of 21
The biggest thing we have been working on is the study about the solor sytem. We tried to find out how long it would take to travel to each planet and if there is equal ditances between the plantes.
The first topic we did was how long it would take to travel to each planet from earth in a Airbus A380. We first had to find out the distances between each planet to find a base. Then we had to find out how fast a commercial airplane can fly in a day without stopping.
Airplanes fly in knots and not kms so we had to convert it. An airplane flys 500 kms per day.
1 knot = 1.85km
500 knots = 925km
We also found out that venus has some sort of pull which draws objects closer which means even though venus is farther away from earth to other plants it still takes the least amount of time to get there becuase of the pull.
The farthrest planet away from earth is Neptune because it is 2.9 billion km away from earth, so to travel to Neptune it would take 12 years to get there.
The cloest planet is Mercury is it 48 million km from earth it would take around 147 days to get there.

This is all the other plantets
This is the class presentation on the topic
The last thing we have been studying is finally

good job
