Cat Persusive Writing

We have been learning how to write persuasive pieces of writing. We had to convince Miss McLeod to buy either a cat or a dog. I choose to persuade her to buy cat. This is my persuasive writing. I had to use persuasive words and phrases that were  convincing. I learnt that there is a lot more part to persuasive writing then I thought.

 Here is my writing
Collaborative Success Criteria
  • The correct structure of a persuasive text including an introduction, with a hook and your opinion, 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion.
  • Persuasive vocabulary and phrases that convince people

Did you know that cats are absolutely purrfect? I believe Miss McLeod should buy a cat for that reason. Three other reasons are they don’t need much attention, at night and day they make very little noise and because you can train them.

One reason Miss McLeod should get a cat is that they don’t need much attention so that is absolutely Purrfect. It is great if you like to go away a lot as you could leave out a large amount of food and water and just leave for a short or long period of time. Cats don’t need to be played with or walked so when you leave they will just lounge around in the sun. Also when you get back there won’t be any mess to clean up as they use litter boxes.

ANother great reason you should get a cat is at night they make very little noise  especially if you live in the city! A lot of dogs  bark and bark and bark when cars go past, and people don’t like to get woken up at night to barking dogs. With big dogs if they get up at night and if you have wooden floors you can hear the dog's paw steps on the wood.

Another advantage is you can train cats, of course you can train dogs but you can’t train  dogs to use litter boxes. Litter boxes are a person’s  best friend if you have an inside animal as if you go away when you come back there won’t be any mess and with dogs you need to open and close the doors. A common thing you can train a cat to do is to sit, stay and fetch, you can do that with a dog but why not teach a cat to do it to.

In conclusion, you should get a cat because you can train them, they are quiet at night and they don’t need much attention. So contact your local pet  store now and ask what cat breed would suit you!.
